First of all – I love shooting weddings in Colorado!!! It makes our job so much easier when we’re shooting on top of a mountain with huge blue skies and tall, green aspens – and it doesn’t hurt when working with a beautiful, fun and happy couple! Elizabeth and Evan were married at the Vail Interfaith Chapel in Vail, Colorado. We have similar taste in music, and as soon as I heard them play this song at their reception, Summer and I were like ‘hey, that’s their trailer!’ E and E were so much fun to work with, and Elizabeth was a trooper, willing to run and climb down into the trees in her wedding dress and heels! It didn’t even phase her when a little grasshopper tried to make her dress its home. Their reception was held at Donovan Pavilion, and Elizabeth, being a huge candy lover, decided to forgo a cake for a very elaborate and yummy candy bar, which has been her idea for her wedding even before the groom was in the picture.
The ‘surprise’ at the reception was one of the coolest things we’ve seen at a wedding – but you’ll have to wait for the highlights to see that
It was also awesome working with Todd of Strawdawg Photography – thank you so much for allowing us to hop in and drive up the mountain with you guys. I’m excited to see their photos, I’m sure they will be amazing! We hope you’re having fun on your ‘mini-moon’ in Santa Fe – hopefully you’ll get a chance to check out your trailer. Congrats!

I’ll see you in the spring / summer, when the Long Island side of the family can celebrate with you all over again!
